What scrap can be salvaged from the wasteland’s of traditional masculinity?

Lost Male In Post Industrial Landscape took place in an area of Glasgow once inhabited by one of the cities many traditional industrial sites, and lasted three hours.

The performer used “structured improvisation” to attempt to create insecurity within his own performance style. Personal effects were scattered on the ground to initiate interaction.  

In preparation for this performance I researched, rituals of male rites of passage, the increasing redundancy of heteronormative masculinity, attempted an interview with my father and walked aimlessly around the industrial wastelands of Europe.
