The piece is a part of a series of work observing collectivism, labor and motivation using bread and the process of baking as a catalyst. Creating a surplus of energy has been key to supporting human specialization and “civilized” culture. Do we continue to trust that these unseen mechanisms will continue turn and if we don’t do we have the means to do anything about it?
